Old
Once the ending credits started rolling on Old I couldn't believe I stayed the whole film. My next immediate thought was, "No, never, not even Netflix." The film revolves around three sets of different families and one random rapper who all go to this beautiful private beach at their vacation resort. But what seems like a paradise quickly becomes hell when everyone starts aging and experiencing adverse effects from the water. Unable to simply leave the group has to band together to create a way to survive, and get off the beach before time runs out.
The acting is horrible. Literally, I could have been in this film. Flat performances throughout with the actors talking at each other versus a dramatic receiving and responding flow.
Old didn't work for a feature format. It would have been better for a Twilight Zone type of episode that is thirty minutes versus an hour and forty eight minutes. There wasn't enough depth for the film to sustain itself. None of the characters had much of a point or enough motivation aside from either dying or solely to carry the viewers to the reveal at the end.
Instead of being on the edge of my seat wanting to solve the mystery I was fighting not falling asleep.
